Different servicing schedules suit different instruments but a general rule is that a yearly service is suitable for preventative maintenance and internal certification.

This comes down to cost vs benefit. Most of our instruments come with a 1-2 year warranty included. After that an extended warranty will give you peace of mind that if your instrument develops a fault then you will be covered for parts and labour. However most of our instruments are built to be robust and so it could be argued that an extended warranty is not necessary. We always suggest if you are not sure that you contact us to discuss the merits of an extended warranty in more detail.

Yes. Especially since the pandemic this option has become more and more popular with our customers. If an internet connection is available in your lab then we can connect into your instrument remotely. We also have video software that will help us direct you to make repairs of calibrations using your own staff.

Not always. It really depends on the instrument and the situation. If we can make repairs or carry out servicing remotely then we will do because this is quicker and easier for everyone. Our second preference is to repair on site because this minimises downtime for the customer. Finally if there is no other option then we may ask you to ship the instrument back to us but this is rare.
